Our First Aid course is hands-on and scenario-based, covering a wide range of essential skills, including:
- Performing CPR on an adult (including use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position).
- Completing a first aid incident report form based on the adult CPR simulated scenario.
- Performing CPR on an infant.
- Managing casualties with:
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Choking
- Non-life-threatening bleeding and shock (including minor wound cleaning)
- Nosebleeds
- Fractures and dislocations
- Sprains and strains
- Envenomation (e.g., snake or funnel-web spider bites)
- Simulated First Aid Scenarios:
- Managing a casualty with a life-threatening bleed
- Completing an incident report form based on the scenario
- Coordinating a multiple casualty incident
