Online (3 Hrs) and Face to Face Learning and Assessment (4 Hrs)

Entry Requirements

As a refresher course, the following entry requirements apply

• Previously completed this course and have industry experience in these fields.
• This can be demonstrated by a current or recently expired certificate or confirmation in writing from an employer of existing qualifications and skills.

You will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:  

• Psychological and physical capability to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstrations for this course, such as the undertaking of the requirements to work safely at heights wearing appropriate PPE and using appropriate fall protection equipment. Participants will need the sufficient physical ability to lift equipment infrequently from ground to overhead and access heights above 2m. 
• Protective slip-resistant footwear/safety shoes and comfortable/practical clothing must be provided by the student and worn during the practical sessions and assessment.  
• Language, literacy and numeracy requirements – students must be able to read and correctly interpret required documentation relevant to working at height, speak clearly and unambiguously in English, explain, describe and verify sometimes complex needs and issues and understand the risk assessment requirements. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms and producing any required reports. Numeracy is required to the level of being able to correctly calculate total fall distances for example. 
• Not exceed the maximum weight requirement of 115kg.
• All equipment provided.

Important Information on The Day of Your Course

To ensure you can successfully complete your practical training we ask the following:

• Arrive 10 minutes prior to the course start time. (Please note that if you arrive late you will not be able to attend the course).
• Wear appropriate attire including enclosed shoes, pants and shirt.
• Verify your USI.
• Provide photo ID upon entry.

If the student does not meet the above requirements, they will be unable to attend the practical training and rebooking fees may apply.

Making Changes to Your Booking

We understand there are times when you may need to make a change to your booking! For all requested booking changes, more than 48hrs (2 business days) prior to a course, no rebooking fee will apply. If the request is less than 48hrs (2 days) prior to a course no changes can be made. If you need to make changes to your booking:

• More than 48 hours before your course? If you’re unable to reschedule through your student portal, email us at admin@rtstraining.com.au, and we’ll do our best to help.
• Less than 48 hours before your course? Unfortunately, we’re unable to make changes at this stage.

If you need to cancel, we’ll issue you a voucher for the full amount paid, valid for 3 years, so you can book another course when it suits you.
