Course Information

The First Aid and LVR course is essential if you are conducting live work or working with live switchboards.  The course covers the performance of rescue procedures from a live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.  It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to carry out and complete the LV panel rescue procedures and to perform first aid (including CPR) on a casualty in a range of situations. It consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be assessed as competent in providing CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines as well as rescue procedures from an LV apparatus.

Low voltage rescue comprises responsive operations that involve the saving of life, or prevention of injury during an incident or dangerous situation.

The delivery mode for this course is a combination of online learning, followed by face to face assessment. The online component takes approximately 3 hours and the face to face assessment 3 hours. Please note that all of the online learning must be completed prior to the face to face practical assessment.

Completed the First Aid Training yesterday.
Was an enjoyable experience with Jacklyn a terrific instructor.
She is knowledgeable and experienced and answered all questions comprehensively. The class room was roomy with plenty of space and resources for everyone. Can highly recommend RTS for training.
The training was once again, concise but thorough. The pre-training was delivered in a easy to understand way, and the face-to-face training and assessment with Yolanda was excellent. I don’t love having to re-certify every year, but RTS makes the process pain-free. I’ll be back next year!
Completed my CPR/LVR, First attack Fire fighting and Working at heights. The courses were very informative and interactive. It was not lengthy but just useful information in them. All the trainers in my courses were very professional experienced. It was an overall great experience with RTS. Highly recommend them for blue collar trainings.
Completed my Advanced First Aid with RTS Training. The trainers were professional, knowledgeable, and very supportive. The course was well-structured and practical. Highly recommended.
i found the mixture of live scenarios and theory helped to cement the learnings in to my head.
The trainer, Tash, was informative and made the course interesting enough so that you focused on the content.
She had a great personality and ran an excellent course.
Great course! Completed their LVR/CPR course. Hour and a half online, hour and a half in class, perfect mix. The trainer (Jac) was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you for an amazing course, if can rate 6 stars i would’ve so here you go ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent facility to do your work place training. Informative, efficient and professional. No unnecessary fluff to waste your time. Highly recommended to everyone.
Did the training to demonstrate the first attack firefighting equipment. The course was very knowledgeable on the subject of first response to an emergency fire. The interaction in the class was two-way, getting all students involved in the exercise. I would strongly recommend training with RTS.
Efficient and straight to the point — one of the best courses I’ve done in Perth so far. No time wasted. The only improvement I’d suggest is making the online module shorter, or allowing repeat participants to skip directly to the quiz, since many of us complete this course every year.
fantastic, very very informative, professionally presented… very experienced and trainers. Easy to understand relate to the course content and importance as why training is essential to the mining industry from a safety perspective. The equipment was modern and up to as what is out in the field. A really good training facility, professionally presented from the admin counter to training room floor..A go to training provider for me..
I recently completed the CPR and Low Voltage Rescue course, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, breaking down complex procedures into clear, practical steps. The hands-on training was engaging, with realistic scenarios that built confidence in performing CPR and handling low voltage emergencies safely.
Excellent training session with intelligent and highly skilled trainer.
Jake the trainer was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. He also had plenty of real world experience that made the training engaging. The practical activities were clearly explained.

Working at heights, Confined space & Gas test atmospheres
We’ve had the pleasure of working with RTS Training for over 8 years, regularly sending our technicians to their training centre for various courses. Recently, we organised an on-site group training session at our Osborne Park office for the first time and it couldn’t have gone better.

Ben and John were incredibly helpful in accommodating our last-minute request due to unexpected weather disruptions, and Mike, who facilitated the training, was absolutely fantastic. He brought great energy, made the session enjoyable, and demonstrated extensive knowledge throughout.

We highly recommend RTS to any local businesses or companies seeking flexible, high quality on-site training options. Looking forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.
